Temple Gates Continuing Their Mobile Assault on the Galaxy
Hot off the heels of their totally impressive mobile app adaptation of the Race for the Galaxy card game, Temple Gates is not resting on their laurels.
Thom Lehman and Wei-Hwa Huang’s dice version of that game, Roll for the Galaxy is also being brought to mobile by Temple Gates.
On the table, I much prefer Roll to Race, so I am chomping at the bit for this one since I loved the app for Race so much.
As opposed to Race where you are using cards in your hand to pay for cards that you put out on your tableau, the dice you are rolling in Roll represent your populace working on putting these developments out or colonizing those planets.
I love the dice rolling mechanic a lot more than the card one, especially on the table. When things are automatically done for you? Will Roll for the Galaxy be as improved in app form as Race was?
Whatever the result, I have a feeling Temple Gates will knock it out of the park yet again.
