Tekhenu – New Picture!

We’re all still enjoying enduring all of this self-isolation. For that reason, a lot of my blog hits have been on apps, mobile, and online gaming.

Yet there are still lots of great boardgame-specific things going on, and here’s another post about one of those.

Remember the announcementof Tekhenu: Obelisk of the Sun, the latest game from Teotihuacan master Daniele Tascini?

Board & Dice games just emailed with an awesome picture of the new game, and it looks amazing!!!

Tekhenu 2

Not only does it give you a little more insight into how the game works, with the light and shadow side of the obelisk, but it just looks so cool even without all of that.

I’ve enjoyed playing Tzolkin online, but on the table I’ve really enjoyed Teotihuacan so this game looks like it will definitely be another one I pick up.

Assuming it comes out on time, anyway.

This may still be kind of prototype-ish, but I’m assuming it’s pretty close to what they’re wanting or they wouldn’t be publicizing it.

Will this be a Kickstarter or just come out in 2020 sometime?

Who knows at this point?

Board & Dice are playing it close to the vest, though whether that’s virus-related or whether they just have decided not to announce it yet, it may all be the same at this point.

When all of this is said and done and things get back to some semblance of normalcy, I will be standing in line (figuratively, anyway) to check this one out.

What do you think?

Let me know in the comments (really, in this period of self-isolation, do you have anything better to do? Don’t answer that…)
